After Thomas saved

him, he had been
extremely loyal to
Thomas. Also he is
one of the main
runners.

After being stung by the

grievers he was never
the same. Also one of
the leaders, he wants to
know the many secrets
of the maze.

Suddenly after Alby goes a

little crazy, Newt takes a
huge part in leadership
making fair and difficult
decisions.

Conflict #1
Resolution #1
The boys had no clue
why they are in the
glade. Some say that
they were terrible
people and got
thrown in the maze
like a prison. Thomas
wanted to find out so
he allowed himself to
be stung by the
griever. Then he went
through the
changing.

After Thomas came

back from the changing
he knew that all it was
a test. All the boys
were immune from a
terrible disease that is
incurable. The people
who put them there
wanted to find out how
and why. They were all
named after geniuses.
Thomas, as in Edison.
Alby, as in Albert
Eistien, and Newt as in

Conflict #2
Resolution #2
Alby was stung by a
griever and wasnt be
able to protect and
guide the camp. Since
the griever stung him
he is completely
immobilized. They
were so close to
getting out of the
glade, but with no
leader they were
helpless.

Newt took change after

Alby got stung. He
made important
decisions and people
got banished and die in
the process. Even
Thomas got in trouble
because he went into
the maze without
permission even though
he did it to save Minho
and Alby.

Conflict #3
Resolution #3
The boys were sent
into the glade oneby-one. Many means
of survival were
learned, but they
never made it out.
Eventually they
mapped every inch
of the maze. Still, no
escape.

When Thomas and Minho

are trapped in the maze
overnight, they were
cornered by grievers.
When the grievers lunged
at them they moved over
and let the griever fall off
the cliff, but it didnt fall
all the way down, it fell
into an invisible hole.
Thomas eventually went
through there with other
gladers and found the
escape.
