DESCRIPTION
Select the sweep function and create a
vertical centerline along the right datum
plane. Next, sketch three lines that will
serve as the trajectory of the spring.
Adjust the pitch and draw a circle at the
start point of the line.
Redefine the feature that was just
created using Edit Definition. Adjust
the pitch according to the specified
dimensions.
Create a new datum plane and insert an
axis between the front and right datum
planes.
Select the revolve button and choose the
circular surface as the sketching plane.
Use the project function and select
loop as the type along that same
surface. Lastly, check Revolve to
selected point, plane, or surface.
Create a sweep feature by using the
project function again to sketch the
section for the sweep. Select loop as
the type once more.
Sketch the path of the hook and use the
sweep function again. Create a circle at
the start point of the sketch and match
the diameter to that of its connecting
member.
Repeat the same procedure to create the
bottom hook. Create a 90-degree revolve
protrusion. Create a simple sweep with a
radius of 0.5. Create the bottom hook
end.
