Our Story

How You Can Participate

On July 8, 2011, the Isanti County Historical

Society was lost to a fire that was deliberately set
by an arsonist. The building was a total loss, but
thanks to donations, insurance and fundraising efforts, plus the support of the community, we rebuilt
and moved back to the site in April 2013.

This is the 6th Taste of Home Cooking School &

Expo that ICHS has held since 2006. Each time we
have been pleased with the Taste of Home delicious recipes demonstrated by their talented chef,
their entertainment, participation with the audience,
and the community support it generates for us.

While we are still getting organized, life moves on

and we are increasing our programs and special
events to promote the county history.

Your sponsorship and attendance at this years

TOH Cooking Show & Expo will assist the Historical Society to continue on its journey and
help us to move forward.

In 2015 ICHS will be marking its 50th Anniversary

of preserving and promoting history in the county.
We are a 501c3 organization governed by its own
Board of Directors.

Meet Dana Elliott

Danas graduated from

The Art Institute of Fort
Lauderdale in Fort Lauderdale with
a Bachelor of Science degree in
Culinary Management and
was the recipient of an
Outstanding Culinary
Achievement Award.
She went on to instruct
post-secondary students on
restaurant management and
led corporate team building
cooking classes.
Growing up near Indianapolis,
Dana has many great memories
in her kitchen over the years.

I love to cook everything, and I

love to eat everything! She also
enjoys the challenge of taking recipes
from cookbooks and tweaking them to
make them her own.

loves to garden. Im a miniature farmer. I have everything: cucumbers, celery,
tomatoes, peppers, eggplants
and horseradish, she explains.
