8 March 2012 Dear Sir/Madam Re: BIWA Sponsorship International Food Fair 2012 The Balikpapan International Womens

s Association is a non-profit organization, which has been in existence for more than 20 years. The organisation raises money for various charity programmes in the Balikpapan area, including education and technical training, support for local orphanages and homes for the elderly. BIWA also maintains an emergency relief fund to cover immediate needs after community disasters and continues to be a long term supporter of Operation Smile that is involved in cleft lip/palate surgery. BIWA will be holding its Annual International Food Fair in April, 2012 at the Bukit Damai Indah (BDI) clubhouse. Expatriates and locals will volunteer to decorate a table and serve traditional food from their home countries. The International Food Fair attracts men and women from both the expat and local communities because it is a chance for people to showcase their country and for others to sample some traditional cuisine. This year, our goal is to donate the funds raised to the elderly care facility that BIWA supports, Panti Jompo. Although the Food Fair is a social occasion designed to promote multi-culturalism and friendship, it is also an invaluable means to promote regional business to the expatriate & local community. We are therefore approaching prominent businesses within the region for their assistance and support and would like to invite you to participate in the sponsorship of this annual event. The ways in which you may be able to participate include committing to a monetary sponsorship, or by proving a prize for our door prize and/or raffle. Depending on the amount of the sponsorship or equivalent value of the prize, there are different levels of sponsorship:
