Instructions to paper setter given by COE MGMU

1. Committee of chairman and two members are formed by COE MGMU for setting up three sets of
question papers for each course.
2. The Pattern of the question papers, unless specified otherwise by the BoS or any other authority will
be as under:
(a) There are generally 5-6 units in the syllabus of each course. Questions will be so set that each
unit is given equal weightage in term of marks e.g. one question will be set from each unit.
(b) Choice of attempting the questions will be within the unit of the curriculum.
(c) A question may have two parts i.e. (a) and (b) covering different topics from the same unit which
may include objective type questions with suitable weightage.
(d) Degree of difficulty of questions will be graduated in a way that twenty percent should be easy,
thirty percent should be moderately difficult, another thirty percent should be complex and the last
twenty percent should be more complex questions involving combination of concepts as deemed fit
by the paper setters.
e) The pattern of question paper is attached for
i) If syllabus has 6 units
ii) If syllabus has 5 units .
IF SYLLABUS HAS 5 UNITS
THEN USE FOLLOWING
