Furnish most recent high school and/or college transcript.
Supply two letters of reference.
Send completed application and letters to the Association postmarked no later than March 1st.
No applications will be accepted by hand. Mail to the following address:

5. Participate in an interview, as requested.

Scholarship Rules
1. Applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and must carry at
least 12 hours per semester.
2. To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet one of the following membership requirements:
a)
Be a current member for two or more consecutive years;
b)
Be a current member and have a sponsor who has been a member for two or more
consecutive years; Please note: if sponsored, one reference letter must be from the
sponsoring member; or
c)
Have a family member who has been a member for two or more consecutive years.
Priority will be given to those applicants residing in Cleburne County.
3. Applicant must be a high school graduating senior or currently enrolled at a college or
university.
4. Applicant must complete the required application forms.
5. Application is to be signed and postmarked by March 1st. No hand deliveries accepted.
6. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of need, academic promise, character and leadership.
7. The scholarship recipients will be notified by mail and recognized at the Denim & Diamonds
Scholarship Extravaganza held in June. Upon proof of course registration, a check will be made
payable to the recipient or college/university and mailed to the recipient.
8. Scholarship recipients will be eligible to reapply for the scholarship each school year.
9. The Cleburne County Cattlemens Association Scholarship is $1000.00. It is payable at $500.00
per semester providing that a 2.5 GPA is maintained the first semester.
