country of Yemen.

The main protest took place

in Yemens capital Sanaa.

The protest lasted from January 27th

2011 to February 27th 2012 with a
total span of one year and one
month. The protests grew larger by
late January, by February the
opposition leader announced a day
of rage to mold the mass
nationwide bond.

Who revolted and why

There were many citizens
that revolted, there was
estimated to be around
20,000 people that joined
the protest. Most of the
country took part to
overthrow the leader. The
protest was held because
the people of Yemen wanted
to overthrow their leader at
the time, the leader was
known as Abd Rabbuh
Mansur Hadi.

How did they organize?

The people of Yemen had no way to
organize the revolution but having the word
spread around. Over time before the
protests took place more and more people
found out about the revolution and thats
how more and more people took place in
the protests.

How did people overthrow the government and how did

the government react?
The way the people overthrew the government
were very unorganized protests, they would
cause damage to the town and government
buildings. They would attack riot police trying
to shut protests down. Doing so many lives were
lost both civilians and people taking part in the
protests. More and more people would take
place in the protest and the people grew
stronger.
