LifeValues Quiz

Values can be defined as things that you believe to be important in

the way that you live and work. Knowing what your values are can be
very important to understanding yourself better, as well as
understanding how you make decisions in all aspects of your life.
These values can be grouped into four categories: Inner values, social
values, physical values and financial values. The LifeValues quiz is a
good activity to show you how high or low your unique values are in
each specific category. These results can be interpreted to show you
how or why you make certain choices in the financial decision making
process.
In the past, I have taken moral and ethics quizzes that were
somewhat similar to the LifeValues quiz. Although, these quizzes did
not show me how my values were linked to the financial side of it all.
So I took the LifeValues quiz and answered honestly.
After reviewing my score in each of the four categories, I wasnt all
that surprised by most of the results. I received a mid score of five in
financial values, a mid score of five in physical values, a mid score of
six in inner values and a low score of four in social values. This means
that overall I was balanced in my life values, except for one. The low
score in social life values was the only one that surprised me. After
further interpreting it, I realized that it made sense only for one reason
and thats because I highly value financial independence. This
independence stems from my past.
Without getting into too many details, I had to grow up and mature
at a very young age. This was due to certain events that happened in
my childhood and adolescence. One of the most important values that
were formed during these times was my independent nature. These
events, and the values that were formed because of it, made me into
the man that I am today.
Overall, I believe that the LifeValues quiz is an effective tool to
show ones values and how they pertain to the financial decision
making process. This would be great to use in the financial planning
industry. The results would help show the clients values and how they
fit into the goals set forth in the introductory meeting, while also
helping to further effective communication between the client and
planner.
