BOODSKAP VAN DIE HOOF / MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Oor die laaste paar dekades het ons samelewing beweeg na doen vir ons
kinders eerder as leer ons kinders hoe. Alhoewel dit waar is op alle gebiede
in ons kinders se lewe moet ons kyk watter impak dit het op ons kinders se
skoolwerk. Ek weet van ouers wat namens hulle kinders leer deur hulle dit in
te dril. Sommige ouers maak opsommings vir hulle kinders. As ouers is u
verantwoordelikheid om u kinders te leer hoe om te studeer. Gee hulle die
vaardighede om te kan leer en op te som sodat hulle later selfstandig kan
studeer.
Sterkte met die assesseringsweek wat begin op 6 Maart 2015. Leer vir u kind
studiemetodes aan. Indien u nie weet hoe nie, kontak u kind se register
onderwyser om u te bemagtig om u kind te help.
Dear parent

Over the past several decades, our society has moved increasingly toward
doing for our children rather than teaching how. Although this is true to all
aspects of life we need to look at the impact on our schoolwork. We have
parents that study for their children. They sum up the work for them. As parents
you have the responsibility to teach your child how to study. Give them the skills
to be able to eventually study by themselves.
Good luck for the assessment week that will start on 6 March 2015. Teach your
child study methods. If you are unable to do it, contact the register teacher to
assist you and give you the knowledge to help your child.

Remember the SGB elections that will take place on 10 March 2015. We need
to have 360 parents at the meeting in order to have a quorum for the elections
to take place. Please arrange in time that you can attend the meeting.
2. Pillar to Post / Gift of vision Oogtoetse / Eye tests 26/02/2015:
Die Lions Operation Brightsight sal die skool op 26 Februarie 2015 besoek om
oogtoetse te doen, teen n minimale fooi van R20 per persoon. Voltooi
asseblief die afskeur-strokie indien u sal belangstel in so n oogtoets vir u of u
kind.
The Lions Operation Brightsight will visit the school on 26 February to do an
eye test at a minimal fee of R20 per person. Please complete the tear-off slip if
you are interested in a test for you or your child.
3. Graad 1 fotos / Grade 1 photos:
Laaste dag om Graad 1 fotos te bestel en te betaal: Vrydag 20 Februarie
2015.
Last day to order and pay for the Grade 1 photos: Friday 20 February 2015.
4. Skilpadprojek:
Ons doen n beroep op u om ons asseblief in hierdie projek behulpsaam te
wees. Fondse word aangewend vir die aankoop van skoolvoorraad. Leerders
is reeds voorsien van inskrywingsvorms.
Leerders mag nie van deur tot deur of op straat geld insamel nie.
Sluitingsdatum 20 Maart 2015.

We request each parent to kindly assist us in this matter. Funds will be used to
buy teaching materials for our learners. Learners have received the entry
forms.
Learners may not collect money from door to door or on the streets.
