CRDI(after noon)

In this session we learnt about CRDI (common rail direct ignition), its parts and its
advantages. A brief introduction on BOSCH and their manufacturing product related to
mechanical engineering were given. We came to know the difference between normal diesel
direct ignition and CRDI. We learnt the working of CRDI. The working of injector, allowable
pressure of diesel inside the injector, the usage of solenoid valve (metre in valve), nozzle
opening pressure were taught by the expert from BOSCH. Other things like mal functioning
indication lamp, how the CRDI is operating with the help of ECU were briefly explained.
Benefits of CRDI such as reduction of overall exhaust emission, reduction of particulate
matter, reduction of noise, improved efficiency were came to know. And also discussing
about the companies (Denso, Siemens, Delpi) which producing CRDI. At the end of the
session the expert told about the eligibility of getting the job opportunity in BOSCH.
STARTER
In this session we learnt about the principles, working and latest technologies in starter.
The parts such as push button, solenoid, starter motor, battery, ignition board, rectifier were
discussed. Then how the permanent magnet was mounted and how the solenoid engages a
lever that pushes out the drive pinion on the starter driveshaft and meshes the pinion with
the starter ring gear on the flywheel of the engine. We also learnt the working of self start
ignition. And also the usage of alternator and dynamometer was discussed.
GROUP DISSCUSSION AND MOCK INTERVIEW
In this session the experts give the tips for placements, how to behave while interview
and also things which has to be done in interview. We were taught how to prepare for group
discussion, how to write resume. After that team with 10 members was splitted and the group
discussion was conducted. For every team they give one minute for preparation and nine
minutes for discussion. After finishing they told the correction. And also mock interview also
carried out, in that they asked general HR questions and they told the correction in it.
