Keynote Speaker: Dr. Scott Rocco, Spotswood Public Schools
Description: Educational technology is changing the world of education. When used properly it
should improve teaching and enhance learning. But many educators don't know what to use.
Scott will discuss how educational technology is transforming our profession, demonstrate a
number of apps and sites related to academics, collaboration, and organization.

Session B1: An Interactive 21st Century Classroom ED 115


Speakers: Angela Cleveland and Marissa Dale, Hillsborough Township School District
Description: This interactive session will teach educators how to assess understanding through
an all-student response activity. Using Google Forms and Kahoot will allow students and
educators to receive immediate feedback that can allow for instruction to be tailored to the
needs of each student.
Session B2: SMART Boards & Special Education ED 113
Speaker: Danielle Kovach, New Jersey State Teacher of the Year 2011
Description: Lessons come to life for students with special needs through multisensory
instruction using SMART Boards. Integrate the Common Core with daily classroom instruction to
increase academic achievement using SMART technology.

Navigating The Flipped World of the Connected Educator: Where Hacking is Good,
Geeking-Out is Cool, and Cheating Can be Learning
Speaker: Dr. Kira J. Baker-Doyle, Arcadia University
Description: Its one thing to use an app, its another to understand and participate in the world
of the connected educator. This presentation is a primer into the culture, language and practices
of connected educators. Participants will learn about key ideas that will help them navigate
various networked communities of connected educators.
