Technology in Low Socio-Economic Classroom

I strongly believe that the introduction of technology into any classroom setting can be
useful if used correctly. Even in the case of a smaller school with not as much funding, even the
most basic of technologies can assist. If there are children with disabilities, you could use the
newer technologies to assist in their learning. Also, I believe that children are able to stay more
attentive when there is technology involved because they are more interested than if they were
reading directly from a textbook. The only part that the school systems should worry about is,
first the price, and second to make sure the teachers are using the technology incorrectly. If they
are getting the technology and scarcely using it then it is pointless. Technology can be a
tremendous resource. In surmise, the addition of technology in a low socio-economic class can
be an asset to aide in student learning and achievement.
