The following case has been brought to my attention: 2015/041715 — Stephen Bradbury This letter is not about the decision to uphold the appeal or what action you take as a result of that decision. My concern is around the e-mail address Mr Bradbury used to submit his complaint. You have stated that Mr Bradbury was asked to use the new e-mail address of isd.genen /orkshire.pnn.police. uk instead of the previous address of hire.onn,police.uk. You stated that as the previous mailbox was no longer in use, this was the reason that Mr Bradbury's complaint had been overlooked and a decision had not been made. However, on the 12" February you emailed Mr Bradbury from this old mailbox. Understandably this has confused matters and has resulted in a member of the public feeling lied to by the police. | would like to bring this matter to your immediate attention and ask that you provide the IPCC with the following: © Anexplanation as to how this happened * Who else has been affected ‘The steps you have taken to ensure that this does not happen in future, either to Mr Bradbury or anyone else ook forward to your response. A copy of this letter has been sent to Mr Bradbury as an assurance that we take our oversight role seriously.
