SKIMMING
Merupakan strategi membaca untuk
Mengidentifikasi pokok pikiran, gagasan utama atau
informasi penting yang ada dalam suatu paragraf
Mampu membedakan ide utama dan ide penunjang
Mengidentifikasi kalimat kunci yang biasanya mrupakan
kesimpulan atau inti dari teks
Kalimat kunci sering muncul di AWAL paragraf

MAIN and SUPPORTING IDEAS

Main idea(s) of a paragraph is the gist of it that is present

from the beginning to the end

Supporting idea(s) is functioned to support, add or
develop the main ideas
How to determine main ideas?
Find the general message through key word

Example :
Main idea : shoes
Supporting ideas : shoe string, color, brand or what it is made of
