March 11 James 2:8-11

Just a thought: When we show favoritism, we actually think we are doing the right
thing. Because what we are doing is casting judgment on someone whose
appearance does not line up with what we consider to be respectable. But James
pulls no punches: Favoritism is a SIN. Sin makes you a LAWBREAKER. Lawbreakers
need GRACE, the grace that God promised to give to the poor. So where does that
leave us? Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven.
