Question 4- evaluation

Q4- WHO WOULD THE AUDIENCE BE FOR YOUR PRODUCT?

My target audience for my music


magazine is 16-25 year olds who enjoy
music of the pop genre. They will most
likely be females and white British. This is
because I want to aim the magazine at a
younger generation because through my
research I found that all the younger
people liked pop rather than classical
(which is stereotypically associated with
older people).

The target audience profiler will most


likely be a student who goes out with
friends at the weekend, enjoys gigs,
festivals and parties where they can listen
to their favourite songs. She wants to
know all the latest celebrity romances
and bromances and keep up to date with
the latest gossip.

The target audience girl will


download all music in the top 40
charts and ensure that she knows
first about a new release. Being
female she will stereotypically like
the pop genre so will be the most
common person to buy the
magazine.

The target audience profiler will most likely be


a student so the magazine will not be very
costly. White British is usually the ethnicity
presented in pop music magazines so using a
white model for my front cover, conforms to
this stereotype. I didnt want to subvert the
stereotype although some magazines have
started to introduce this. However I did not
have different ethnic groups throughout the
magazine because I felt like I should stick
solely to the stereotype of pop.
