Why Yellow . . .

In eastern lands of dragons and men of clay,

Yellow is the color of Happiness, Glory and Wisdom;
Around the world both far and near,
Yellow a sacred color:
Krishna wears yellow
Buddha and his monks wear yellow
Yellow is the golden key to the Kingdom of Heaven;
In a language of old not spoken hence,
Aurum in Latin for both Gold and Yellow;
From afar yellow is the first color seen by our eyes
Optimism and pleasure find their homes in Yellow.
Most of all, Yellow is the color of sunlight - of warmth,
Of life itself for all on earth.
I watch and feel your love invade my heart
A yellow light of warmth and comfort.
Two colors side by side - entwined in time and space
Red - your passion knowing no bounds and
Yellow - your warmth generously offered.
You are my sun and your sunlight I need
Like a green plant I survive
In the yellow rays of your warming love.
