Diary log week 15

In week 15 my research was
concerning the conventions of
Film Radio Advertisements.
The prominent conventions I
listed consisted of; an advert
being 30 seconds, use of a
backing soundtrack and a
dramatic voiceover detailing
the product. These aspects
were all incorporated into my
final product of a film radio
advert. These conventions
were useful to have researched as they gave me a basis for
predominant features which made a product recognizable as a
radio advert. This also gave me creative inspiration to develop
these conventions so they were unique and represented the
narrative of my short film effectively.
The research I conducted in the start of the week influenced me
to devise two possible initial ideas for my radio product.
My 1st initial idea was
concerned on detailing
narrative information and
contextual knowledge of
the universe depicted in
The Project. This deviated
from every convention I
had previously researched
and its unique nature was
interesting to me.
However, my 2nd initial
idea did conform to the conventions I had presented. I would
implement the several researched conventions to showcase
exhilarating moments within my product to my audience. I

decided this was a better alternative to detailing narrative as I

believed that it would be significantly more engaging for my
audience whilst also conforming to prominent industry
conventions.
