LEARNING
In every duty, I always bear in mind
that the most important thing to do
is about the flexibility and caring to
our patient and this would be have a
good service.
Our duty in OB ward has let
me experienced a lot of new things
and skills. In this ward, I also
developed my confidence in
performing minor procedures. I found
it on my own that I could be a leader

FACILITATING FACTOR
Approachable staff nurses
Cooperative group mates
Patients are cooperative when
you health educate them on
bed

HINDERING FACTOR
The fans are sometimes not
switched on that makes so hot
in the area
Some charts are not available
There is no tables for the
affiliating students to write
documents

but honestly not a good leader. I was

able to control my nervousness and
tense in terms of preparing
medications such as ampoule and
vial.
In this ward, I experienced and
developed my skills like draining and
removing Indwelling Folly Catheter,
preparation of oral and IV
medications, administering oral meds
and IV push, and lastly removing and
changing IV. At first, I was excited
and nervous in doing these
procedures, that I might do it wrong
and I was afraid to be scolded.
However, with Maam Rose
supervision and support I did all of
this well. I was also able to apply
some knowledge and skills in
Maternal and in skills Lab.
It was a remarkable duty for
me not only because of the
enjoyment but because of the things,
I have learned. I have learned to be
more active ad alert in everything
that Maam Rose will let us do. I have
also learned that whenever I did
something wrong, I take it positive
and learn from it.
All the learnings I have learned
are very useful for me as a nursing

student. We are thankful to you

Maam in providing us your
tremendous amount of support and
for imparting us your knowledge.
Thank you also Maam for being not
so strict, considerate, approachable
and for making our duty in OB happy
and fun.
