Shahada
is a declaration of faith and trust that professes that there is only one God (Allah) and that
Muhammad is God's messenger.[10] It is a set statement normally recited in Arabic: l ilha
ill-llhu muh ammadun raslu-llh (" ) There is no god but God (and)
Muhammad is the messenger of God." It is essential to utter it
Salat
Salat consist of 5 daily prayers according to the sunna. fajr means dawn dhurh means noon asr
means afternoon and magrhib means evening. The prayers are recited turning towards the
kaaba and mecca muslims wash before prayer the wash is called purification. When they pray
they bow their heads and get on their knees.
Zakat is the practice of giving based on wealthy people. the word zakat means purification and
growth.
