There is considerable evidence that family
outdoor recreation helps in developing family
strength and relationships. Outdoor programs often
incorporate leisure activities that not only develop

health, but also teach perseverance, teamwork, and
cooperation among family members. This is the
reason why we chose to create an outdoor family
relay, which includes both teamwork and physical
a c t i v i t y.
With the child obesity rate increasing at a
fairly fast rate in the United States, we thought
that the best way to help with this situation is to

chose to market families.

include:

With these potential venues listed, we chose Ram

event and will also allow for a much larger crowd to
comfortably enjoy the event.
For our back up plan, the Butcher Center with its
indoor venue is the best choice. This will help
prevent any possible weather problems will still
allowing enough space for the activities.
