Guidelines for Predict Plots

Generalities:
Scales
Use a scale of 500, 1000, 2500, or 5000 ft
For meters, use something that makes the horizontal demarcations easy to translate
(10,50,100,250,500)
Names:
Sensors: Name the dataset the data kind and put the tool specific name in the
description (not in the channelset name)

Description: SEXA
o RES sh
Only use a descriptor in the name if you have more than one of this type
of data
o POR
Description NPHI
o DT
o ECD
o MW
o CALI
o GR
Analysis channels
o PP uppercase and the analysis type following in lowercase
Example: PP res
o FG uppercase and the analysis type following in lowercase
FG dt
o OBG uppercase and the analysis type following in lowercase
OBG rhob
o Ko
o SBL (shale base line)
o NCT (normal compaction trend line used in Eaton)
o DT Miller
Miller is a mans last name. This is the exception to the lowercase the
description suggestion
Keep only a gradient dataset when duplicating pressure and gradients in views. Predict now
allows both to be carried in one dataset so there is no reason to have a pressure dataset of the
same information.
Dont show the scale in the legend.
Background colors:
Red: 192
Green:220
Blue:192
Color of background for legend: Yellow (see sonic specifics)
