Adventures in Matunaland is about an explorer named Albert Celery, a repres

entative of the British government named Neville Banderby, and a pirate nameMarc
us Treetrimmer. Nobody ever listened to what Banderby had to say and he was ver
y suspicious. Celery trusted Treetrimmer in not being a pirate, but Banderbydis
agreed and Celery and Banderby kept fighting over this.
Treetrimmer tempted Celery into taking more than 15% of the gold he found o
n the new island and Banderby thought this wasn't right. They thought he would
holdthem back on their journey, so they held him back on the ship. Banderby wou
ld be the character I'd like to know as friend because Celery is vain and ignore
severything Banderby says, Treetrimmer was lying to both of them the whole time,
but Banderby wanted to help Celery make the best decisions for the exploration.
Assoon as Celery hired Treetrimmer, Banderby sent a telegram to send another p
arty to the island. Despite the event, Banderby said he wouldn't tell anybody a
bout thisand that they wouldn't believe this. If Banderby wouldn't have come at
all, then the pirates would have taken the gold for themselves and left none fo
r Celery. The lesson of the story is that you should listen to the people who y
ou trust and know.
