Presumptions
Iso Floor: 7.2x7.2 m (Lx=Ly=1200 mm, 7 legs in both directions).
Earthquake according to UBC-97 zone 4.
No cabinets, just the floor.
Scope
Is it needed to laterally brace the floor itself, without any load, to make it stay
intact during a possible earthquake?
Results
In order to avoid any leg from loosing contact to the supporting floor, it is
needed to have extra braces every second leg. The distance between the
braces should therefore not exceed 2400 mm. They should be mounted in
pairs.
