Ight my N*ggas ..The highly anticipated return to the hallowed turf of Seedhill is finally upon us. Milky will have acres of space to run into, Glassford will have acres in which to not pass, Stub
has acres for his cross fields, Chris will have acres for attempted diving headers and everyone will run for miles just to get the ball back after a shocking attempt at goal that ends with the ball at
Arnold Clarks front door.
Luke Weather Man McCarthy has predicted a light rain shower during the match but one man in particular was not bothered. Why? Two simple reasons really, Penguins area aquatic animals and
hes also bringing his umbrella to keep everyone dry.
Tonights teams include the return of POTY and thanks to Graham Assistant Statistician Black we bring you the following POTY Stats from his only two appearances of the season. Fouls 127,
Balls Booted out of play 34, Passes 0, speaking in third person 6. Despite this, POTY awards for 2015 and 2016 were delivered recently to POTY. Our resident wind up merchant had this to
say Christ sake Jonny, Will would have scored that.. aye hell be back next week. See you in 3 months . Just to clarify, the worlds biggest moaner has played in two games this season and not
one as he insists. THE STATS DO NOT LIE !!!!
On to more serious topics. Milky v Marc. The first is undefeated in 8, with 7 wins and the other has a 100% win rate from 5 games (see appendix 3). Tonight will be the crowing of the final Connor
MacLead. There can be only one. My initial reaction when I read the team sheets was that the home team would win comfortably. Having looked at the teams all afternoon, I still think that. Thats
stats appear to agree with my outstanding footballing knowledge. The home team have the edge on almost every stat. Average win % (82.9% v 71.4%) and Average wins (6.0 v 4.8) in favour of the
home team. Appearances are a deadlock of 11.6 each. The recent talk of the town, League points, is also in the home teams favour with an average 24.4 v 20.2. Interestingly, the team that is picked
as the home team has won 71% of the time in 2015. I dont have a record of who picks the teams but I would imagine that most people when picking the teams put themselves in the home team. A
damming indictment of bias towards your own team? Myself included. I did pick the 15 goal thrashing recently.
Week after week the stats typically fire up the so called under dogs and help them dig deep and find a top drawer performance. Plenty to fight for and even more up for grabs for the away team
tonight. A win tonight would see Jonny Rocket Foot McCarthy return to the top of the league standings (Appendix 1a) and it would also see Rihanna (and his umbrella) Jump back above Stub
and smile a minute Will, into the top ten. Most importantly it could cement Glassford position as No.1 greetin' face.
Its at this point I like to leave you with a thought provoking sentiment. The stats might say you lost your last game, that your form is poor or even that youre bottom of the league table. Does that
matter? A wise man once saidOh yes, the past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it. Rafiki, The lion King
On a personal note, I hope its a sh*te game, the rain is relentless and Glassford moans like never before.
