COMMENTS
The calculations provided are not clear and are not done in a systematic way. The
calculations should include following as minimum:
1. Index
2. Nomenclatures and symbols (with units)
3. Formulae used
4. Design input data / parameters (with their reference), limiting values,
assumptions in design, if any etc
5. Detailed calculations
Please consider following data / information for the hydraulic calculations:
1. For calculating friction losses in force mains, use the Hazen Williams equation
with C = 110 for GRP or Plastic pipes
2. Rated flow = 10 % over normal flow
3. Rated pressure = Normal pressure x (Rater flow / Normal flow)^2
4. Desired force main velocities are from 1 to 1.5 m / sec to prevent deposition of
solids at minimum flow
