I am writing regarding a potential employment opportunity for a post-operative unit.
I am a Humber College graduate in the Practical Nursing program. I have completed
clinical rotations in Complex Continuing Care, and completed my Preceptorship at
Brampton Civic Hospital in Brampton on the orthopedic surgery unit. Each rotation has
enabled me to work both independently and interdependently with people and the health
care team members in the hospital. My clinical experiences and work experience have
provided me with opportunities to assist RPNs and work independently in administering
direct patient care, think critically and holistically to promote health and well-being and
work in pressurized environments. I am currently working at Brampton Cardio
Pulmonary Services in Brampton on a part-time basis. Through this current employment I
have gained experiences such as EKG testing, PFT testing, and holter/ambulatory
monitor testing. I would prefer a part-time or causal positon at your institution.
With my past and current nursing experiences I have learned the qualities that are
required in the nursing profession which are to be innovative, caring, and trustworthy. I
am confident that my practical experience and knowledge of nursing procedures will
allow me to make immediate contributions to your team. As you can find in my rsum,
these qualities I have possessed and nurtured.
