I am writing you in response to the online posted position for new graduate RNs that I have
applied for. I know that Carilion is a reputable hospital and I was recommended to apply for this
position by Amanda Robinson who works on the Medical\Surgical PCU floor as an RN. In May
of 2015, I will be graduating from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College with my ADN and
then I will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN.
I am a very determined individual, I enjoy learning and implementing new skills. I came out of
high school to peruse becoming a nurse and took my prerequisites along with my nursing courses
because of my determination. I learn quickly, which relays back to my overall willingness to
learn. I have learnt a lot in my clinical settings throughout school and look forward to learning
more to promote the health of any patients that I will have the privilege to care for.
