To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to express my interest in obtaining a position as a registered nurse in the
nurse residency program. I am excited about this opportunity for its continued education
and ability to further enhance my nursing skills, knowledge, and interdisciplinary
relationships. Through my clinical work and education, I have developed a passion for
nursing and its ability to continuously impact the lives of others. As I continue to develop
my career, I will always value the importance of providing holistic and evidence based
care to all hospitalized patients.

I am currently enrolled at the University of Arizona College of Nursing in the Bachelor of

Science in Nursing Program, and plan to graduate in May 2017. During my college
career, I have developed valuable leadership skills through organizations such as Alpha
Delta Pi Sorority, Optimi Student Foundation Honorary, and Alpha Phi Omega Service
Fraternity. I am highly driven towards success and enjoy working with adults and their
families. I hope to work in an environment that offers many new learning experiences in
addition to challenging me to be able to grow as a nurse. I am eager to continue to learn
and transition into the role of a professional nurse. I believe that the Mayo Clinic offers an
outstanding nurse residency program and I would be honored to continue my nursing
education at this hospital.

Thank you for your time and consideration of my resume. I look forward to speaking with
you in the near future to discuss the potential position in your nurse residency program
at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. I will be calling within the next week to check on
the status of my application. I may also be contacted on my cell phone at (480)-292-
6505.

Sincerely,

Julie Zuckerman
