Dear Nurse Recruiter,

I am a Nursing Student attending the University of Arizona's College of Nursing. I will be graduating
in August 2022 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on Integrative Health
(BSN-IH). I am pleased to learn of your opening for the New Graduate Residency Program as I have
a strong desire and passion to serve as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Banner University Medical
Center in Phoenix. I have specifically chosen to apply to your prestigious organization because of
your achievement of Magnet Status, and the accomplished reputation which sets the Banner Health
system apart from others in provision of exceptional patient care.

As a student completing clinical rotations at multiple hospitals within Phoenix, AZ, I have learned to
be fully present and provide care to patients with a positive attitude. Throughout my clinical rotations,
I made an effort to truly understand my patients' diagnoses by interpreting critical lab values,
recognizing the mechanism of action to each drug given, and understanding the complex
pathophysiology of their disease processes. I maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients at the
bedside and incorporate kindness and compassion into their care. I have recognized that I thrive in
fast-paced situations in high acuity areas and often utilize my critical thinking skills when
encountering unexpected experiences. In addition to attending school full-time, I also work full-time
and have enhanced my time management skills. I am an effective communicator both verbally and
electronically with all parties involved in patient care. I also have adequate experience working with
different types of electronic health records and acquired computer skills throughout my clinical time
and during my time scribing as well as at Donor Network. I know that my interprofessional and
communication skills that I have received through working alongside with providers, pharmacists,
and nurses at my previous jobs will also make me a great asset to the Banner Health team.

I deeply resonate with Banner Health’s mission and core values of putting the patients' needs first
along with their care first. I believe that advocating for patients and allowing their voice to be heard
is an important aspect to consider when practicing as an RN. Sharing these values makes me
certain that I will be a great addition to Banner Health. If given this opportunity, I intend to improve
my ability to care for patients on the unit while utilizing the skills I acquired throughout my time as a
student nurse. Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Amanda Truong
