As an academically distinguished nursing student at the University of Arizona, anticipating graduation in

May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Integrative Health emphasis, I am thrilled to be
applying for the role of New Graduate Registered Nurse at Banner Health facilities. I believe the quality and
quantity of my clinical experiences, prior work history in patient care, and competency performing nursing

My foundation for a successful nursing career has been established through immersion in enriching skills
trainings and hands-on clinical experiences. In my role as a precepting nursing student, I confidently
evaluate fetal heart rate patterns, administer medications according to facility policy and standards of care,
perform postpartum and newborn assessments, and complete documentation in the electronic medical
record. I display professionalism as I efficiently implement provider orders in a timely manner and provide
culturally sensitive patient education. My preceptor and nursing faculty have been instrumental to me
developing autonomy in applying the nursing process to patient care and using critical thinking skills.

Clinical experiences have provided me with many opportunities to create and evaluate care plans and the
effectiveness of nursing interventions. Additionally, my experiences throughout almost three years as a
Certified Nursing Assistant and Medication Technician demonstrate my ability for continuing patient
prioritization based on clinical judgement along with knowledge of disease processes and medications.
Working within multiple healthcare teams has allowed me to refine my interpersonal communication skills
while fulfilling the physical, emotional, and social needs of those I care for.

My skill set, dynamic clinical experiences, and confidence among multiple patient populations would make
