Dear Hiring Director,

I am excited to be applying for a Registered Nurse position in the Pediatric Oncology Department at Banner
Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Clinic. As a new graduate, I have spent the last several years on a
focused academic and clinical path towards on obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This path has
highlighted integrative health, applied evidence base best practices and rigorous theoretical as well as
practical learning models through the University of Arizona program. This position is the perfect fit for me
because I exemplify being a hard-working, problem-solving, and collaborative individual who strives to
enhance my skills and fosters healing.

My philosophy is entrenched in empowering others and creating a positive environment for the patients,
families, and caregivers. With my nurturing nature and professional experiences, I possess the skills
needed for this nursing field, including organizational skills, compassion, communication, and time
management. In addition, I am a committed worker who will put all my efforts into the wellbeing of the
patients, as well as collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the best
outcomes. My experience in the multiple fields of nursing enabled me to be proficient in my assessments,
medication administration, nursing diagnoses, and interventions. The program has also enhanced my
attitude of taking holistic approaches, in care treatment with the understanding that healing encompasses
both the physical and psychological aspects. I also have been a reliable employee at Gordan Jewish
Community Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where I worked for the community aquatics department,
keeping hundreds of swimmers safe daily, and teaching young children how to swim. My role drove my
passion to pursue this career path and fostered my desire to create positive relationships with my colleges
and patients. These experiences have given me an in-depth understanding and awareness of differences
in individuals while highlighting Banner Health’s mission of professionalism and making healthcare easier
so life can be better.

I am a hard-working, problem solving, collaborative, and nurturing individual who strives utilize these skills to
empower others and create a positive environment. My passion for this career field will advance me to be an
essential part of the Pediatric Oncology Department. I am always keen on enhancing my interprofessional skills
and professional efficiency while maintaining the highest quality of care. I look forward to meeting with you and
