Kayliegh Esterle

Hello, my name is Kayliegh Esterle and this is my first year being a nursing student at

Aultman College. I am a transfer from Fortis College where I had completed one year of most of

my prerequisites. I am excited being at Aultman College because I have heard great things about

the nursing school.

I can remember always wanting to be a nurse like my grandmother and my mother. I

remember listening to their stories and especially learning at a very early age to always wash my

hands. It has been a long journey for me to get to where I am now because in high school my

grandmother encouraged me to take STNA classes, and when I finished, I worked at some

nursing homes. Then after graduating from high school, I enrolled at a college and was in the

medical assistance course, but I got married and started a family so continuing college was not

my priority. Since I have been working over four years as a Sr. Med. Tech. at Cleveland

Clinic/Akron General Hospital, I have reevaluated my dreams and goals and decided that

becoming a nurse is something I want to accomplish within these next two years.

When I become a nurse, I want to work with children at the Akron Childrens Hospital.

Taking care of newborns and children is my dream. I also have plans to continue my education

and receive a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
