9 DEVELOPMENT OF SURFACES
13. A pentagonal prism of base side 25 mm and height 50 mm
is resting on one of its ends on the HP with one of its faces
parallel to VP. It is cut by a plane perpendicular to VP and
inclined at 300 to HP. The plane meets the axis at a distance of
25 mm above the base. Draw the development of all the
surfaces of the lower portion of the prism.

31. A regular hexagonal pyramid, base 3 cm sides and axis 7

cm is resting on the ground with a side of the base parallel to
VP. It is cut by a plane inclined at 30 0 to the HP and passing
through an extreme corner of the base. Draw the development.

24. A pentagonal prism side of base 40 mm and height 80 mm

is resting on the HP with its base, one rectangular face parallel
to VP and axis perpendicular to HP. The solid is cut by a plane
inclined 450 to HP and perpendicular to VP. The section plane
cuts the axis at 50 mm above the base. Draw the development
of the bottom portion.

EQ) A cone of base dia 70 mm and axis 70 mm is resting on its

base on HP. It is cut by a plane perpendicular to VP and
inclined 300 to the HP and bisecting the axis. Draw the
development of the cone.

25. Draw the development of the lower portion of a cylinder of

diameter 50 mm and axis 70 mm when sectioned by a plane
inclined at 400 to HP, perpendicular to VP and bisecting the
axis.
