Over the past few weeks I have had
the distinct privilege of being able to
come in to each rehearsal to work with
this amazing cast and crew. Each night
I have watched these talented people
create different ways to make us laugh.
We have all heard the phrase laughter is the best medicine, and sometimes there is a lot of truth in those old sayings. This is one I believe that this cast has proven to be true.
I have had multiple cast and crew members tell me that they
couldnt wait to get to rehearsal because they couldnt wait to
have fun and laugh. This is why I volunteered to direct this
show. This production has proven to me, once again, why
I continue to support and advocate for the arts in Johnson
City.
Id like to thank my Assistant Director Montie Stevens and
Stage Manager John Kaywood, their help has been essential
in getting this show ready for opening JCCTs 103rd Season.
Id also like to thank the cast and crew for sacrificing time out
of their lives to put together a truly larger-than-life show. It
has been a true joy working with each and every one of you.
Id also like to thank you, the audience. It is your presence
here, right now, that keeps JCCT going and we are so grateful
for each and every one of you.
With that being said, I invite you to take a big dose of our
medicine, sit back, and laugh with us with the comedic event
of the season, Funny Little Thing Called Love. Enjoy the show.
