content on the page, meaning the introduction to the page and the description for each
item. You may also include comments about the layout and arrangement of items;
however, this should not be your main focus.
Complete the rubric below.

2 peer workshops must be submitted by Wednesday, April 22 at 9:30 AM in order to receive

full credit for the workshop. No late workshops will be accepted.

Introduction
I really enjoyed reading your introduction. I thought you included exactly what is appropriate for
the reader to know about you before looking through your portfolio. This description was very
strong and made me excited to see what your portfolio had to offer. I also enjoyed how you
immediately included the Letter to Olivia. Putting this first and how you described it really set
the mood for the rest of your portfolio. I know this has nothing to do with your introduction, but
I loved your layout and theme. Very pretty! Have you tried switching up the layouts of the pages
yet, or changing the top picture to a different picture? This will allow your reader to be interested
and not think theyre looking at the same one over and over again. Overall, I really enjoyed your
introduction.
Genre Analysis
For this page, you are lacking the final draft and the revision workshop. Make sure that you
include these before the final turn in date because I wouldnt want you to get points taken off for
that. Again, I like how you give very well written descriptions for each assignment. This made
me want to keep reading and this will also make the outsider reader curious and wanting to know
more about the assignments, which will create them to read your drafts. I think that you can
make this page, along with others, a little more personal. What can you do to make this stand out
from everybody elses?
Micro-Ethnography
Although you didnt include all of the items required for this section, I think that this page can be
very strong. You already have included descriptions of these items so now you only have to
upload the documents. You gave a great description/introduction to the Micro-Ethnography
project. I think that you can get a bit more descriptive on the introduction to the outline of this
project. Did or didnt this help the process of your writing? Also, I think you can be more
descriptive on the presentation item. I noticed that you couldnt click on this link so hopefully
that will be fixed so the reader can go straight to your presentation.
Daybook Entries
If we wrote about various topics, does that mean we wrote freely? Was this writing flexible or
did we have to strictly stay on topic? (This may be something a reader may not know). Be
confident with your opinions. This is your portfolio so reading that you think the overall is
not interesting to your reader. You also only have four daybook entries and the requirement is
five entries. Also, including a little description of these entries and what they mean and how you

felt about them would be nice to read. Right now, they are just random entries. Scattering
comments throughout this page will make your readers to easily follow the page.

In Class Assignments
You only have a brief description on this page with no documents. Due to this, I cannot give you
any feedback but once you pick out the two assignments, this page will be a lot stronger. I think
you should also include a description of each assignment and give your likes and dislikes. I
completely understand with not having the documents up, this is only a checkpoint.
Discussion Forums
I thought your introduction/ description for the discussion forums was very spot on. I would like
to have read a few more sentences about the replies portion of this assignment. Why were these
important? Did you benefit from getting replies? Also, make sure that you are uploading these
documents. You need four more posts of your own and then five replies.
Reflections
I believe that your introduction can be stronger for your midterm reflection. Make sure that you
are being completely clear to what this assignment truly meant because an outsider may think a
midterm is a test. So, was this like a test or in place of a test? (These will be thoughts the outsider
reader may have). I also believe that your description of the final reflection could also be
stronger. Include your peer workshops for the final reflection and then the final draft for the final
reflection. Including a comment or description at the ending will allow your reader to wrap up
everything and bring your portfolio to a closing.
