Dear principal, I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself and to express my interest about future job opportunities in your school. To being with I would like to let you know a bit about myself. My name is Yessica Lopez and I recently graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a bachelor degree in Secondary education in Biological Sciences. In ASU I took a variety of different courses like biology, microbiology, ecology, animal behavior and inorganic biology which have supported my knowledge in the subject of biology. On top of content courses, internships and education courses in Mary Lou Fulton teachers college also shaped my vision of teaching. My vision of teaching involves using a variety of successful pedagogical skill that can improve a students learning for example STELLA practices in biology which allow students to actively participate in their learning. I believe that if a student is actively engage in their learning in class by participating in think share activates, working in groups and by having whole class discussions than a students will learn more than a passive learner. Lastly, I want to appreciate the time you took to read this letter and to encourage you to feel welcome to contact me via email at yllopez1@asu.edu or by phone at 602-567-5674 if you have any comments, questions, or concerns. I look forward hearing from you and potentially setting up an interview.
