Mydreamclassroomwouldbeaclassroomthatwelcomesallelementaryagedchildren
regardlessofdisabilityorleveloflearningEnglishasasecondlanguage.Itwouldalsobefully
equippedwithartmaterialssuchaseasels,storageunitsforpaper,palettes,paintbrushes,paint,
crayons,pastels,andothermediaforstudents.Uponwalkingintotheclassroom,onewouldbe
greetedbytheteachersdesktotheirrightandalineupofeaselsandartisticpostersonthewall
ontheleft.Onmywalls,Idnotonlyhavepostersshowingthecolorwheel,howyoushould
colorinsidethelines,andclassroomrulesandexpectations,Idalsohavepostersshowing
differentpaintingsandworksbyartistsallaroundtheworldsothatstudentswouldknowthatin
myclass,weshowappreciationforalltypesofartandartists.Onmyshelves,Idkeepstudent
worksandalsohangstudentworksaroundtheclassonthewallsandoutsideonmydoor.
Multiculturalappreciationofartandarthistorywillbeanimportantelementofmyclass.The
studentswillsitattablesandstudentswithspecialneedswillsitattheroundtable(easier
access).Referencematerialsandbookswillbelocatedatmypersonalbookstandnearmydesk
andstudentswillbeencouragedtoreadartbooksontheirowntimealso.Inconclusion,my
classroomwillbeasafeenvironmentforstudentstolearnandexpresstheirartisticendeavors.
