Standards:
16.B.2B Identify major causes of the American Revolution, and describe the
consequences of the revolution through the early National period, including
the roles of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin.
Learning Objectives:
Students will show knowledge of major events, tactical moves, people, and
roles played during the American revolution evidenced by completing the
chapter test with an 80% success rate.
Assessment:
Chapter 5 test consisting of five matching questions and ten multiple choice
questions.

Adaptations and Accommodations:


Test will be open book and will have page numbers written next to the
questions on the test.

Anticipatory Set:
Instruct students on test procedures and the expectations of what will be
worked on when they complete their test.

Today we will take our chapter 5 test, on the American Revolution.

Give test instructions.


Let students know the expectation of what they are to work on after they
finish the test.

Today we took the chapter 5 test on the American Revolution.
Self Evaluation and Reflection:
My students did very well on the test. 21 of the 24 completed tests had an
80% or higher score. The test I used was made by Mr. Van Slyke, and already
had accommodations. This made the test easier, but I was still proud of my
students for being thorough about their work to make sure they had the right
answer. I also think the Jeopardy review game was helpful because students
saw the information on the test the day before they took it.
