Chapter 2 Reflection

Chapter 2 is called Technology and Learning. This chapter explains how teachers wanting
to transfer the knowledge and skills for students to embrace what they have received. Theoretical
Perspectives on Learning explains peoples perspective on their learning. The best known ones
are Behaviorist (view all behavior as a stimulus-response cycle in
which behavior is a response to external stimuli.), Cognitivist (see learning as a mental operation
that takes place when information enters through the senses, undergoes mental manipulation,
is stored, and is finally used.) & Constructivist (see knowledge as a constructed element resulting
from the learning process.) The way to fully understand the theory it is best to identify and
evaluate its functions. Another important part of Chapter 2 is the Learning theory. Learning
Theory is how learning might occur in general. It is a way for students to be aware of the
learning environment and plan instruction. The assignment we did for this chapter is a Microsoft
Word Assignment about to promote mastery of concepts and skills of using Microsoft Word for
instruction. With that assignment it showed me how to change and add effects to fonts and saving
properly.
