Reflection:

Once I finally understood what matrix was and how to use it, it became really fun to do. It presented a new way to
develop lesson plans while integrating technology. It was a new way of thinking for me. It became more fun as I
understood better, to create a potential plan to use in a real classroom. It was interesting to see how I think I could
effectively teach students these state standards. I liked the idea of them creating their own website because it gives
them some autonomy and allows them to learn what they want (to an extent of course, there are still standards and
things that they have to learn). Giving students independence is sometimes the best way for them to learn and
teaching other students what they learned helps them apply what they learned and gain more understanding.
Everyone would learn so much more (and more in depth) when they all explore different areas of the course.
Reflection:
This matrix was easier to complete since I felt that I had a better understanding of the materials presented. I felt like I
had a better idea on how to use presentations in the classroom to incorporate new concepts. I feel that presentations
are particularly important to younger students since they are a visual aid and younger students are more visual.
Presentations would prove useful to students who need the visual representations but who also can only take in a little
bit of information at a time. Power points and prezies are great to share a lot of information, a little at a time. This
would allow students to grasp a concept and understand it before moving on to the rest of the whole idea. Students
would benefit from these types of learning tools because they are different and fun. They could create their own in
order to share what theyve learned and present the best or most interesting parts of the subject matter.

Reflection:
The digital story is a good way to promote learning and help students learn in a new and visual way. The story would
be beneficial especially in a younger classroom. Students would be able to watch the story or create their own.
Creating their own would promote learning and keep students engaged in the classroom. This matrix would be one to
use in my future classroom because I feel that the digital story would be beneficial. The story offers a new way for
students to understand abstract concepts and lessons. They are fun ways to help students learn. Stories would also be
a good way for students to present what they have learned. They are very different form PowerPoints and other
presentations. Students would have complete autonomy with these projects. Students would be able to present what
they have learned in a way that is unique to them. Digital stories are interesting teaching tools that promote using the
present technology in the classrooms.
Reflection:
The primary sources project was one of my favorites to do because it made the most sense to me and I can see how it
is valuable towards my future classrooms. I did not see how to actually in cooperate primary sources into a math
lesson. I thought about presenting the proofs for the math section, but that may be too far above my grade level for
my students. I do find primary sources valuable in the reading and writing, social studies, and science content areas. I
find primary sources very useful when I learn through them. There are so many primary sources available for
educators that I feel I will not have any problem supplying them to my students. I look forward to using primary
sources as teaching tools in my future classroom because they offer evidence through people of the time. They prove
to be more interesting and useful than regular lesson plans. Primary sources allow teachers to be creative when
teaching. They also allow teachers to offer physical and visual evidence to students. Since most students learn best
through visuals, I believe primary sources are extremely valuable.
