the class to see.
Safety
Make sure the outdoor space is clean and safe for the children to be in.
Make sure the area is fenced in and the children are in one around to
keep watch.
Bring a whistle outside to help round up the children at the end of the
activity.
Instruction
-Explain to the students that we are going to be doing a lesson outside.
We are going to be taking a nature walk looking for different animals,
and plants that we have read about in books.
-On our nature walk we are going to be drawing different pictures of
the animals or plants that we find.
-after our adventure we are going to sit in a group circle and talk about
the pictures we drew and what features we found and see if any of the
information we found matches the information we learned when we did
research on previous days.
-Then we will come in and project the pictures on the projector to show
all the students the drawings.
Make sure the outside space is wheelchair assessable to provide the
best lesson for all your students.
