Influences
Shakespeare not only inspired people such as the notorious assassin, of President Lincoln, John
Wilkes Booth but he also inspired the creation of many well known movies. Booth saw Lincoln as
Caesar and himself as a would be hero. Movies such as Gnomeo and Juliet, Theatre of Blood, An Age
of kings, and A Ham in a Role. He also wrote Romeo and Juliet which influenced a young couple,
Jayden Thomas and Braxton Wood, to do a similar act in the August of 2013 as they did by running
away to be together since both parents disapproved. Since both teens did not harm themselves it
seems safe to say they were more of a Hermia and Lysander kind of couple.

Help of understanding and Messages

Shakespeare also in a way helped most of his readers understand the way teens think for example with his

work Romeo and Juliet he is able to give people a view of how teenagers are with their love, not exactly but he
gave an idea of the way they think like their rash and persistent actions and behavior. With new parents
reading Shakespeares writing they are able to understand how teens think and what actions they are willing to
go forth with in order to be with whom they love. He also helped explain how a desperate love needing woman
may feel and how she may act as did Helena in A Midsummer Nights Dream. Another example of his helping of
understanding is how Shakespeare left many messages as well for example his view on human life with The
Seven Stages of man and the question that leaves many pondering about from his writing To be or not to be:
that is the question.
