Promoting Grandparents Day

Amy Causer

Initial Idea:
To create a poster advertising
campaign to promote Grandparents Day.
This could then be used on different
social media platforms to promote public
engagement and participation and would
promote both Grandparents Day and
Interflora as a whole.

Survey: Primary Research

I set a survey online to see what people think of when they think of thier Grandparents? Have they
bought flowers for thier Grandparents before and why?

Are you close to your Grandparents?

In conclusion these results showed that many respondents enjoyed laughing

with their Grandparents. As this survey was answered by young adults I
decided to act upon this and show humour in my advertsing campaign. I firstly
went and took photographs of my own grandparents and asked them to
re-enact the times they had made me laugh the most.

This is the scene that had the best reaction out of them all.

This idea developed into a black and white photograph to enphasise the gold logo being the only colour.

Development:

Final Poster:

How will this be used?

This could be used in any magazine of choice to send this out to a larger audience

Final Concept
Phase One of Campaign

This advert would be sent out to get people

talking about Grandparents Day.
Phase Two of Campaign

This advert would be the catalyst for public

engagement and participation; the public are
the campaign. People would be encouraged
to upload images of thier own Grandparents in
humorous or unusual situations.
For example you could engage with Instagram
and get the public to upload thier own
photographs possibly using a hastag you could
view these.
