DEVILS GATE
A weekend in the nature goes good for everyone, especially after a long work
week; El Salvador has beautiful and fresh places in which people can spend a
great day, such like Devils Gate.
In the last months this place has reported a great increase in the visitors, especially
foreign ones, the important things in Devils Gate are the Look points, that offer a
panoramic and impressive great view of the city of San Salvador, Ilopango lake,
Las Pavas Hill and the grand San Vicentes Volcano, better known as
Chichontepec. Everyone who visits Devils Gate will find the vivid town of
Panchimalco and in the Horizon theyll see the Pacific Seashore.

The pictures of Devils Gate is what turns it into one of the tourists favorite places,
there are great Green places, good trades and delicious food, which are the main
attractions. This zone is full of legends and stories, among them there is its name,
based on two huge rocks rising from the abysm these rocks cut the mountain
making it look like a giant gate, next to a beautiful landscape in the back and which
the grandparents call Devils Gate.
Recently among the citicitens there is a belief of that along the years people tried
to build in that place and oddly, this place has a Great Forze that avoids human
hands to touch it, people think that is the Devil who makes imposible to make such
constructions.
One important thing of Devils Door, besides enjoying the excellent place, is that
people can take walks in different paths which lead to several rocks, or they can
practice extreme sports like rappelling and canopy, these ones are organized by
Guanatours, which each weekend has activities for the visitors. To finish a good
day with family or Friends, everybody can taste delicious traditional dishes made in
this zone, like pupusas, atol, riguas, and corn in different ways of Salvadorean
gastronomy.
