Instant Activity: Frisbee Relay

Our first activity will be a Frisbee relay.
Using the cues of the skill your team must
get the Frisbee from across the end line
without the Frisbee touching the ground.
Everyone must touch the Frisbee at least
once and you can not run with the Frisbee

Set Induction:
Today we will be focusing on accuracy
when throwing a Frisbee. To review the
cues of the skill:
1-1-3 (1 thumb on top, 1 index finger
around the side, 3 fingers curled
underneath)
Shoulder (point shoulder to the target)
curl (Curl the disk towards the body
keeping it parallel)
Step (To the target)
Snap (Extend and snap the wrist).

Start/Stop Signals:
Ready Go and Freeze
Grouping Strategies:
Paired at random for
the first activity and
in groups of 3 for the
second activity.

Goal of this is task is to give the

students some understanding of
the skills needed for todays
lesson.

Purpose:
It is important to know how to accurately
throw so you can throw it to whoever you
want during game play

work. Will pinpoint a student during the
lesson if time allows

equipment and bring it back to home base
for the closure

straight. Can someone show me the 5 cues
for throwing a Frisbee? Can someone tell
me how to keep a Frisbee flat when I
throw it? By keeping it flat when you curl
