Transcript Reflection
Throughout my high school career, I had always work hard to maintain good grades. I am
proud to say that I have always kept a GPA of 3.8 or above all semesters except for my
Sophomore year. Sophomore year was one of the hardest for me because my Dad had just lost
his job and my parents were always on the road running their business. I became a second
mother for my siblings and aside from that, I was also the KIWINS club secretary-the backbone
of the club. I decided to take one of the most challenging courses on campus that year also-AP
Biology-without fully realizing all the time that Ill need to put into the class.
On a typical weekday, my routine would start off with an early 0 period class. Ill go on
throughout my day and spend my lunches doing KIWINS work, such as calculating hours or
points. Ill get home around 4 and on Wednesdays, 6 due to the meeting. I would then start to
cook dinner, eat and then clean. By the time I was finished with everything, it would already be 8
or 9. Depending on how much homework the teachers give me, Ill go some nights with
absolutely no sleep at all. If Im lucky, Ill be able to sneak in a 30 minute nap. Overtime, I
became worn out.
Of all my grades, I am most proud of my Freshman year grades. I thought that the
transition from middle school to high school would be really difficult for me and the classes 10
times harder. Though they werent necessarily 10 times harder, they were a lot harder but I was

able to earn all As and Bs. I am extremely proud of earning an A in Geometry to obtain a GPA
of 4.0 my spring semester of 9th grade.
I am most disappointed in my grades during Sophomore year. I had an awfully lot of
things on my plate and I just kind of walked blindfoldedly to make sure I didnt fail. If I could
take any class ever again, Ill definitely take AP Biology. Though the class is extremely time
consuming, I know what to expect now. Not only that, but I have practiced how to use timemanagement over the years which was what I lacked as a 15 years old sophomore at the time.
With proper time management, I believe that I would be able to receive a higher grade because
Ill get more sleep and more time to complete all my homework. No procrastinating!
My attendance records proves the amount of dedication I put into school. I have a current
attendance record percentage of 97.4% which is higher than most of the students in my class.
The only reason why I do ever get an absence is due to a serious illness or if I have an academic
activity to attend.
Overall, by looking at my transcript, I can be seen as a very determined and hard-working
girl. If only a transcript could also include the amount of work I do and put outside of academics,
such as leadership positions in club organizations, I believe that I make a very competent
individual.
