Dear Mrs. Henson:
My name is Nou Chi Her and I am a Senior from Merced High School. I am writing this letter in regards
to the Nursing Aide position that I heard about from my medical occupations teacher, Mr. Fragasso. The
Kids Care clinic is a great place that gives incredible service to children and soon-to-be mothers. I am
very interested in this position and I can assure you that Ill be a great asset to the clinic.
I have a very strong passion to enter the medical field and work with kids due to the fact that I love being
around children. Not just that, but the cultural clash that is present between Western and Asian medicine
practices motivates me to one day come back as a Pediatrician and close this gap. For this reason, I
enrolled in ROP Medical and have gained a lot of experience and skills from it. I am trained in BLS, First
Aid, HIPAA, OSHA, Blood Borne Pathogens, and transferring patients. I also have knowledge of vital
signs. I have been a Hospital Student Volunteer for a year and have been babysitting ever since the age of
12. Being a Student Volunteer has given me a lot of knowledge about working in a healthcare setting, such
as discharging patients, including hospital policies that just any ordinary person would not know. I have
excellent leadership and communication skills gained through various board positions held in clubs and
organizations. I also assisted in forming a new club on campus called, Association of Pre-Medical
Students.I am fluent in both Hmong and English and can also speak Spanish. I have maintained a stable
GPA of 3.5 and above throughout my years in high school.
