In the videos Riots, Looting, Prompts State of Emergency, Curfew in Baltimore.
Showing us what is going on in Baltimore in results of Freddie Grays death. Gray was a 25year-old male arrest and beaten by police which later died from damage to his spinal cord.
Governor of Baltimore Larry Hogan has called a state of emergency resulting in the riots. Fifteen
police officers have been hurt due to rioters throwing rocks at them. Rev. Jamal Bryant spoke at
Grays funeral and stated that Grays death will spur further protest and urged the community to
join. Soon after some neighborhoods became tensed then got confrontational between protesters
and police officers. Many of the protesters also quickly went to start looting in nearby
businesses. Protesters set fire to a great deal of the city including a CVS store, an almost finished
retirement home and cop cars. Hogan called in National Guard to help with the situation.
Rawlings-Blake says all resources will be used to regain the city. Also she declared a one-week
curfew for all citizens from 10 pm to 5 am. Mayor Rawlings-Blake mentions that too many
generations have helped built this city to let these thugs destroy it.
