I am writing to apply for the position of Summer Camp Child Care Director with St. David
Preschool. I currently possess nine years of child care experience and enjoy working with
children immensely. Currently, I hold the position of Preschool Director at A-Z Enrichment
Preschool.
My duties include actively engaging an average of 12 preschool children on a daily basis as well
as supervising a three Teachers Aides. In addition to being an educator I am also a mother
which serves to enhance my patient and nurturing nature. In addition, I am very fun loving and
adventurous; two qualities to which children tend to respond very positively. I enjoy using my
creativity to develop lesson plans that incorporate fun and laughter which enhances the
educational value of each of my lessons.
My nurturing spirit combined with an aptitude for teaching and the ability to communicate well
with staff and parents make me well qualified for the position of Summer Camp Preschool Child
Care Director, a vacancy which your organization has advertised. I am naturally very organized
and highly capable of attending to the paperwork a position of such responsibility entails. I thrive
in a multi-tasking environment!
As an added benefit, I am very familiar and comfortable with Department of Social Services as
well as all of the regulations pertaining to the management of child care facilities.
